Every call is live speech recognition, reasoning and speech synthesis running on Google's Gemini Live service, billed to us per second of audio. Minutes are the honest unit: you pay for the phone line, not the game.
Because calls come in bursts: a family plays hard one weekend and not again for a month. A pack charges for that weekend and nothing else. Nothing renews, nothing to cancel, and a parent knows exactly what a pack costs.
Time with a call connected, whether you are talking, she is talking, or you are both quiet while she climbs. Hanging up (or letting the call drop when you close the game) stops the meter. Hold to talk does not change how minutes are counted.

Shaky and flat for long enough with nobody on the line, she heads back to camp for a rest; a word from you turns her round. The line changes how it feels, not whether it is possible: with you on it she is bolder, sharper and funnier.
No. Hurrying, shouting and mockery shake her and cost her trust, and praise repeated every few seconds stops working. Patience, one clear instruction and a reminder of why she is there are what move her. Sometimes quiet company is the right thing, and she will say so.

Paste a key from Google AI Studio into Settings and calls go straight from your browser to Google; Google bills you at their rates (roughly $0.005 per minute of your audio and $0.018 per minute of Cara's speech at the time of writing). Packs exist so that nobody has to manage a key or a Google account.
A pack you have not started is refundable within 14 days. Packs bought on the iPad follow Apple's refund process.
